For players new to hockey, please contact the Registrar, Candace Adams, prior to completing the online form.  The new player will need a Hockey Canada ID number to complete the process. New players also need to  provide a government-issued ID so the Registrar can verify the birthdate, and create the Hockey ID. Texting a  photo of either a birth certificate or Alberta Health card is acceptable. Other required information for new players - parent(s)'s names, emails, home/cell numbers, physical address/land location, and mailing address.

Parents of returning players can create a profile on the new HCR 3.0, which replaces and combines eHockey  and the previous Hockey Canada Registry. Parents can then log into their accounts to obtain their child's Hockey  ID. For parents looking for their Respect In Sport Parent course status, log in to your Respect account.

TeamSnap - getting started:

Hockey Alberta - coach requirements:

*Hockey Alberta requires coaches and other bench staff to be certified in Respect in Sport-Activity Leader,  which expires every 4 years. Deadline to complete all coach courses is November 15. Failure to do so will  result in that coach being removed from the roster by Hockey Alberta.

Link to Respect in Sport-Activity Leader:

*Hughenden Minor Hockey will reimburse coaches for coaching clinics, with the EXCEPTION of either  Respect Activity Leader or Respect Parent.

Respect in Sport Parent course (expires every 4 years):

*Deadline for at least 1 parent to be certified with Respect Parent is September 30th.

*note - if you have older children in other sports, and need to add a new child to your existing and CURRENT  Respect Parent account, log in to your Respect profile, and click on “Child Management”. Follow the prompts,  and the system should find that child, so they can be added to the parent's account. Please obtain a hockey ID  from the Registrar prior to completing this step, as detailed above, otherwise a duplicate Hockey ID will be  created.
